Call me "KJ" but I never had the liking for basketball. I remember the time during my elementary days when I would force myself to watch and enjoy a basketball game on TV with the objective of understanding and liking the game. Many of my friends from school and the neighborhood would talk about a terrific basketball (PBA or NBA) game that they had seen the night before. And I would just stay silent because I know nothing about it.

Now, I am a married woman and my husband took a half-day leave just to watch the NBA championships on TV. He was so happy and excited with every move that's being shown. He immediately called his men friends after the finals and they talked about it. I can still hear the excitement and life in his voice every time they would talk about Lakers-Celtics-Rey Allen! And until now, almost 3 decades of my life, I still do not understand a thing about basketball.

Life can be so frustrating!
